A number of factors come into play when scheduling maternity/newborn sessions,
the following are our recommendations:
- Maternity – around the 8th month of pregnancy
- Newborn – within the first week or so, preferably at a time when baby will be napping.
We will get wet, and that’s O.K.!
- 3 Month – infant should be able to hold their own head up
- 6 Month – infant should be able to sit on their own, at least for brief periods
You will receive a color proof of your birth announcement before it is sent to print.
We must have a signature of approval before they are printed. There is no extra charge to make changes.
Maternity, Newborn and 3-Month Sessions will be done indoors, at your home or mine,
6-Month and 1-Year sessions will be shot outdoors, weather permitting.
All members will receive a belly casting kit at their Maternity Session to preserve the
shape of their beautiful belly. I would be happy to assist you in creating the mold
or you may take the kit home and enjoy the experience with your partner. All I ask is you decorate
it as much or as little as you feel it should be and bring it with you to your Newborn Session.

for inspiration on poses for casting and final decorations.
Bring special items with you to each session, the blanket from Grandma, the current
“can’t-live-without-it” toy or anything else that will really capture your child’s
attention and personality.
As cute as the graphic t’s are, the best clothing for photography is simple and solid.
Stripes and simple patterns are ok, but the smaller they are the less likely we’ll
actually be able to read “Daddy’s Little Helper.” Think tutu’s or overalls with no
shirts to get that “She’s just so darn cute I can’t hardly stand it!” reaction.
Basic Membership fees are due in full at the time of booking; Deluxe Membership fees
can be paid half at the time of booking and half at the time of the Newborn Session.
